Amber Renee b. 1977

I have been making some form of Art most of my life. I am drawn to portraits, reflections on water, abstract layers, religious art, typography and hidden meanings.

I have worked with various mediums to include 2D mixed media, collage, oil, acrylic, graphic design, photography and film.

I was heavily inspired in my youth by Gustav Klimt. I find ways to sneak in shinny imagery in whatever medium I am working with.

I have had the pleasure of collaborating with musicians, painters, photographers, muralists, poets, paper cutters & writers.

My deep deep love for music videos is a constant reminder why I love to create art in motion. Music always invokes imagery for me and I want to share that with my audience.

I am currently working in still photography with the occasional video project. Being drawn behind the lens to capture the fleeing in-between twinkle moments in our day to day life is a gift. I like to layer my photography in my editing process. These are more of a meditation than finished pieces.

My art is in the act of. I try not to form attachments to the outcome, to let the light guide me and drop me off whenever it does. I believe my faith is completely intertwined in all work I do. Moving through life with gratitude for the gifts I am given to share is what I strive for.

I am constantly inspired by human interaction, theology, movement, shadows, layers and sounds.

Born and raised by the sea, my forever muse will always be

Salt & Light.
